Jo Kelsey & Dylan Kay

DSC01320.jpg

Jo Kelsey and Dylan Kay are an Auckland based duo performing blues, soul, gospel and jazz. With decades of experience between them, Jo and Dylan have both studied their instruments at prestigious London institutes, performed on some of the great stages and spent many years specialising in their instruments as recording artists, session musicians and teachers. Expect high quality performance and a professional attitude, whilst maintaining the personal touch that music needs.

A professional musician since 1996, Dylan has performed extensively in the UK and US with his own bands and others. Alongside this he has developed a successful guitar teaching career (teaching at the UK’s leading contemporary music school for many years and running Auckland Guitar School). Dylan grew up playing the blues, studied jazz at Berklee College of Music, and also loves playing gospel and soul music (with a passion for slide guitar and open tunings).

Jo Kelsey is a professional vocalist with her heart in the blues, soul and rock. After studying at the same contemporary music school Dylan taught at, Jo built a steady career in London as a session vocalist, performer and vocal arranger. Now in New Zealand Jo directs numerous choirs throughout Auckland, runs a small music school, releases original music and sings at every opportunity!
